Malaysia Fashion Week 2016

I got to attend Malaysia Fashion Week, something that has been on my bucket list for a while. Maybe next up will be Paris Fashion week 😁

Malaysia Fashion week is an annual event held at MATRADE and organized by STYLO International. Out of the four day event only managed to attend the opening and one other day.
Full on activities were happening with exhibitions showcasing different designers and their designs from the multi-cultural Malaysia.

But off course the highlight for me was watching the runway showcases. All designs I saw were unique and exquisite in their own way. As a first timer looking at these intriguing design, it’s hard to describe or choose a favorite so you can have a look at some of designs I managed to capture and choose your favorite. And make sure to scroll to the end the see the video highlights!

Designer - Pham Dang Anh Thu

This showcase with the designer of the above picture, I unfortunately did not see on the runway; But I was lucky enough to be passing by the entrance when the show had ended and one of the models was outside getting some media pictures and l joined in like paparazzi because that dress is angelic.

To see all the other runway shows, I will post a highlights video as soon as I get my video editing skills on check 😄😄

Make It Happen with Maybelline Workshop

Maybelline launched their new tagline "Make It Happen" at Mid Valley Megamall throughout the week of 5th April to 10th April.  Last Saturday got some makeup tips and techniques from Steven Sunny a celebrity image consultant/makeup artist at the Makeup Workshop.

Healthy Habits For Healthy Hair

I have finally reached my one year mark of being natural after cutting off my chemically relaxed hair end of February 2015.  I cut my hair after a 5 month post relaxer, which means I had last relaxed my hair September 2014.  My desire was not to transition for a long time hence chopping off the relaxed hair as soon as l could.  Although my husband totally dreaded me having short hair, it was a big relief for me.  Transitioning and dealing with two textures is annoying and I wasn’t about that life now.  Plus I really felt a strong urge to experience short hair at an age I would recall what it's like.

Christmas Highlight

C3 Kuala Lumpur hosted a Christmas dinner, and we got our red carpet, costumes, wigs (for those who wanted to go the extra mile to look like a certain celebrity) and cameras out and it was fabulous. The organizing team decided to do a Hollywood Theme and it was a good one for people like me who like to dress up. Decor was simple and elegant, complemented by the already well designed interior of the Tropicana Golf & Country Resort ballroom. Guests had to come as a celebrity they want. I went as the always stylish Jennifer Lopez. Although I was portraying JLo, these two looks from Kerry Washington and JLo where both an inspiration for my look.
